1. Who we are

Arif Shine Cleaning Services LLC ("Arif Shine", "we", "us" or "our") is a residential and commercial cleaning company operating in Portland, Oregon and surrounding communities. We are the controller of the personal information described in this policy.

This policy applies to the website arifshinecleaning.com and to information you send us through it. It does not cover information you give us in person, by phone, or through a third-party platform that has its own privacy policy.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

When you submit the quote request form on our website, we ask for:

• Your name — so we know who we are speaking with
• Your phone number — so we can reach you about your request
• Your email address — so we can send you a quote or reply
• The service you need — residential, commercial, move-in/move-out or deep cleaning
• Details about your space — whatever you choose to tell us in the message field, such as property type, approximate size and preferred dates
• Your consent — confirmation that we may contact you about your request

Please only include information in the message field that is necessary for us to quote your job. You do not need to give us sensitive personal details, and we ask that you do not.

Information collected automatically

When your request is submitted, our server records the IP address it came from and the date and time. We use this only to investigate spam and abuse of the form.

If — and only if — you accept analytics cookies, our analytics provider also collects standard usage data such as the pages you view, how long you stay, your approximate region, and the type of device and browser you use. See section 4.

3. How we use your information

We do not sell your personal information, and we never have. We do not share it with advertisers, data brokers, or any third party for their own marketing purposes.

We will not add you to a marketing mailing list from a quote request. If we ever offer a newsletter or promotional emails, it will be a separate opt-in that you choose.

4. Cookies and analytics

Our website uses a small number of cookies and similar storage. The essential ones keep the site working — for example remembering your cookie choice so we do not ask again on every visit.

Optional analytics cookies (Google Analytics) are switched off until you accept them. If you choose "Necessary only", no analytics scripts are loaded at all. If you accept, we run Google Analytics with IP anonymization enabled.

5. When we share information

We share personal information only in these limited situations:

• Our staff and cleaning teams — the people assigned to your job need your name, address and job details to do the work.
• Service providers who run our systems — our website host, our email provider, and (with your consent) our analytics provider. These providers process information on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
• Professional advisers — our accountant or a lawyer, where necessary and confidential.
• When the law requires it — in response to a valid legal request, subpoena or court order, or to protect the rights, safety or property of Arif Shine, our clients or the public.
• If the business changes hands — if Arif Shine is sold or merged, client information may transfer to the new owner, who would remain bound by this policy.

6. How long we keep it

• Quote requests that do not become jobs — up to 24 months, then deleted.
• Client and job records — for the duration of our working relationship and then as long as tax and accounting rules require (generally seven years in Oregon).
• Spam-prevention logs (IP addresses) — up to 90 days.
• Analytics data — retained by Google according to the retention period set on our account, typically 14 months.

7. How we protect it

Our website is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection, and quote requests are transmitted to our email system over an authenticated, encrypted channel. Access to enquiry emails is limited to the people who need it to run the business, and those accounts are protected by strong passwords and two-factor authentication.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we ever become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and any required authority as the law directs.

8. Your privacy rights

Wherever you live, and regardless of whether a particular privacy law applies to a business of our size, we will honor the following requests:

• Access — ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy.
• Correction — ask us to fix anything inaccurate or out of date.
• Deletion — ask us to delete your information, unless we must keep it for legal or accounting reasons.
• Withdraw consent — tell us to stop contacting you about a request at any time.
• Opt out of analytics — change your cookie choice at any time using the footer link.
• No discrimination — we will never refuse service, change our prices, or lower the quality of our work because you exercised a privacy right.

To make a request, email info@arifshinecleaning.com or call 202-594-0636. We will respond within 45 days. We may need to verify your identity first — usually by confirming details you already gave us — so that we do not disclose your information to someone else.

Residents of Oregon, California and other states with consumer privacy laws have these rights by statute where those laws apply. California residents may also designate an authorized agent to make a request on their behalf.

9. Children's privacy

Our services are offered to adults. This website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has submitted information through our site, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Third-party links

Our website contains links to other sites, including our web developer's site and mapping data from OpenStreetMap. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of sites we do not operate. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site you visit.

The interactive service-area map loads map tiles from OpenStreetMap, which receives your IP address as a normal part of delivering those images.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our business or the law changes. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects how we use your information, we will make that clear on the website. We encourage you to review this page from time to time.
